Apache OpenOffice 4.0.1

Eind 2010 werd LibreOffice afgesplitst van OpenOffice.org. OpenOffice.org kwam stil te liggen en werd door toenmalige producent Oracle ondergebracht bij de Apache Foundation - en hernoemd tot Apache OpenOffice. In mei 2012 kwam Apache OpenOffice 3.4 uit: de eerste nieuwe uitgave onder de vleugels van Apache. In juni dit jaar verscheen een nieuwe grote uitgave: Apache OpenOffice 4.0.

Het gisteren verschenen Apache OpenOffice 4.0.1 is een onderhoudsupdate die een aantal crashes oplost en fouten repareert in het kantoorpakket. Ook verloopt het opslaan van Excel-bestanden nu maar liefst 230% sneller, aldus de uitgaveopmerkingen.

Apache OpenOffice 4.0.1 is vertaald in het Nederlands en is te downloaden voor Windows, Mac OS X en Linux.
