Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.2.1

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (MBAM) is al jaren op GratisSoftware.nl een van de hoogstgewaardeerde spywareverwijderaars. Ook staat MBAM bekend als een van de meest effectieve anti-spyware oplossingen.

MBAM 2.2.1 is vandaag verschenen. De belangrijkste wijziging in deze uitgave is dat een beveiligingslek is opgelost. De lekken in het update-mechanisme, dat gebruikmaakte van onbeveiligde verbindingen zo ontdekte een beveiligingsonderzoeker van Google, zijn na zes weken verholpen - iets langer dan de drie/vier weken die MBAM dacht nodig te hebben voor de patch. Malwarebytes maakt nu alleen gebruik van beveiligde SSL-verbindingen. Verder zijn fouten en crashes opgelost en verbeteringen doorgevoerd (zo is scannen via het context menu nu standaard inschakeld). Ten slotte is een nieuw logo in gebruik genomen (zie bovenstaande afbeelding).

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is gratis te downloaden voor Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 en 10. Je kunt updaten vanuit het programma zelf of de nieuwe versie in zijn geheel downloaden.

  • Context Menu scanning option is now enabled by default. Note if you had this option disabled previously and want to retain that setting, you must disable again manually this one time only. Future updates will retain the setting properly
  • Improved renewal experience for those who purchased in retail store so that the original license key is retained post-renewal instead of requiring that a new key be entered and activated
  • Improved End of Trial experience so it is clear that trial has expired and real-time protection is no longer available
  • Added additional license checks to ensure subscription details are updated as quickly as possible after a renewal is processed
  • Updated company and product logos with new logo
  • For Premium subscription licenses, removed Renew button from My Account screen to avoid confusion over license term

Issues Fixed:

  • Fixed security vulnerability to ensure database updates are downloaded over SSL connections only
  • Fixed crash that occurred if Dell Backup and Recovery software was installed on same system
  • Fixed issue where scheduled scan did not honor weekly recurrence properly
  • Fixed issue where license expiration notices were incorrectly displaying multiple times in rapid succession
  • Fixed issue where the Scheduler would continue to run in certain cases after a trial had expired
  • Fixed issue where the update progress bar on the Dashboard would appear to hang and would never complete
  • Several improvements to Chameleon self-protection

MBAM 2.2 is gisteravond uitgebracht. In deze versie van de malwareverwijderaar is een beveiligingslek dichtgeplakt en is de zelfbescherming van MBAM verbeterd. Verder zou Malwarebytes nu minder vals positieven moeten melden - ook bij de rootkit-scans. Tevens is MBAM nu geheel geschikt voor Windows 10. Een hinderlijke fout die is verholpen, is dat bij dubbelklikken op het icoon in de systeembalk Malwarebytes Anti-Malware niet wilde openen. Ten slotte zijn diverse kleine verbeteringen doorgevoerd en fouten gerepareerd.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.1.8

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (MBAM) is al jaren op GratisSoftware.nl een van de hoogstgewaardeerde spywareverwijderaars. Ook staat MBAM bekend als een van de meest effectieve anti-spyware oplossingen.

Halverwege juni al waren MBAM 2.1.7 en 2.1.8 snel na elkaar uitgebracht in beperkte oplage. Nu is MBAM 2.1.8 eindelijk voor iedereen te verkrijgen.

MBAM 2.1.7 is een redelijk grote update die veel verbeteringen doorvoert en fouten oplost. Zo is MBAM nu helemaal geschikt gemaakt voor Windows 10, dat volgende maand verschijnt. De malware-detectie en verwijdering is op verschillende vlakken verbeterd. Verder is van belang dat de gratis versie van MBAM nu in staat is om incrementele database-updates binnen te halen, zodat je niet weer steeds alle malware-definities opnieuw hoeft te downloaden, maar alleen de laatste wijzigingen krijgt. Dit zou moeten schelen in de grootte van de updates. Ook zijn de vertalingen, waaronder de Nederlandse, bijgewerkt. Ten slotte zijn diverse crashes verholpen en foutjes gerepareerd.

MBAM 2.1.8 verscheen 21 juni en was een noodupdate die een crash tijdens het scannen moet verhelpen. Verdere details over alle wijzigingen in de laatste twee versies van Malwarebytes kun je hieronder nalezen. De nieuwe versie kun je krijgen door te updaten vanuit MBAM zelf.

Whats New
Urgent Release
• An urgent MBAM2 release (v2.1.8.1057) was made that resolves "a potential crash when scanning that had to do with how we were parsing digital signatures."
• The throttled upgrades have been reset. If your system was at v2.1.7.1055 Premium, it will auto-upgrade. If at v2.1.4.1018 Premium, your system will still be queued for the v2.1.8.1057 upgrade.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.1.6

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (MBAM) is al jaren op GratisSoftware.nl een van de hoogstgewaardeerde spywareverwijderaars. Ook staat MBAM bekend als een van de meest effectieve anti-spyware oplossingen.

Vorige week is MBAM 2.1.6 uitgebracht. Dit is een kleine onderhoudsupdate voor de malwarescanner die twee crashes en twee problemen oplost. Verder geen wijzigingen in deze uitgave. Details kun je hieronder nalezen.

De vertaling van de interface is nog niet helemaal afgerond, dus sommige onderdelen worden in het Engels weergegeven.

Eergisteren is MBAM 2.1.4 verschenen. Dit is een grote update voor de malwarescanner die onder andere een nieuw uiterlijk brengt.

Ook kan MBAM 2.1.4 beter rootkits verwijderen en wordt voor elke scan nu eerst een update van de malware-definities gedaan. Verder is het in quarantaine plaatsen van malware vereenvoudigd. Bij het minimaliseren van het programma gaat MBAM nu naar de taakbalk in plaats van de systeembalk naast de klok. Ten slotte zijn nog diverse fouten opgelost in deze uitgave. De vertaling van de interface is nog niet helemaal afgerond, dus sommige onderdelen worden in het Engels weergegeven.

  • Removed support for Thai language due to quality issues with the translation
  • Installation of a Consumer/Home version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware over a Business version is now blocked
Known Issues:
  • Certain elements of the user interface, such as tables, do not support screen readers.  We’ll continue to improve our support for accessibility-related items over the next several releases.   
  • The version information displayed the Protection Log for program updates is displaying an incorrect fourth digit.  The fourth digit represents the build number, and if curious, you can find the exact build on the About screen in Settings.
  • The informational messages that display during scans (and on the Scan Results page in the Free version) are only available in English for the time being.  We hope to provide translations for these in a future release.  There may be other minor issues around missing translations, which vary by specific language.
