FileZilla 3.9.0.1
FileZilla is het populairste gratis FTP-programma. FTP staat voor 'file transfer protocol' en FileZilla kun je dan ook gebruiken om bestanden en webpagina's te uploaden naar je webserver. Voor website-beheerders is FileZilla onmisbaar.
Van FileZilla zijn gisteren en vandaag direct na elkaar versie 3.9.0 en 3.9.0.1 uitgebracht. De laatste uitgave is een snelle hotfix voor een probleem in de 32-bits Windows-versie met DLL-bestanden, waardoor FileZilla niet goed werkte.
Voornaamste nieuwe functie onder Windows is dat FileZilla 3.9.0 daar nu gebruik maakt van de ingebouwde DEP en ASLR beveiligingsmaatregelen. Verder zijn diverse prestatieverbeteringen en geheugenoptimalisaties doorgevoerd. Ten slotte zijn enkele crashes, fouten en onvolkomenheden in de interface opgelost. FileZilla is - ook in het Nederlands - verkrijgbaar voor Windows, Mac OS X en Linux.
