Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.1.8
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (MBAM) is al jaren op GratisSoftware.nl een van de hoogstgewaardeerde spywareverwijderaars. Ook staat MBAM bekend als een van de meest effectieve anti-spyware oplossingen.
Halverwege juni al waren MBAM 2.1.7 en 2.1.8 snel na elkaar uitgebracht in beperkte oplage. Nu is MBAM 2.1.8 eindelijk voor iedereen te verkrijgen.
MBAM 2.1.7 is een redelijk grote update die veel verbeteringen doorvoert en fouten oplost. Zo is MBAM nu helemaal geschikt gemaakt voor Windows 10, dat volgende maand verschijnt. De malware-detectie en verwijdering is op verschillende vlakken verbeterd. Verder is van belang dat de gratis versie van MBAM nu in staat is om incrementele database-updates binnen te halen, zodat je niet weer steeds alle malware-definities opnieuw hoeft te downloaden, maar alleen de laatste wijzigingen krijgt. Dit zou moeten schelen in de grootte van de updates. Ook zijn de vertalingen, waaronder de Nederlandse, bijgewerkt. Ten slotte zijn diverse crashes verholpen en foutjes gerepareerd.
MBAM 2.1.8 verscheen 21 juni en was een noodupdate die een crash tijdens het scannen moet verhelpen. Verdere details over alle wijzigingen in de laatste twee versies van Malwarebytes kun je hieronder nalezen. De nieuwe versie kun je krijgen door te updaten vanuit MBAM zelf.
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is gratis te downloaden voor Windows Vista, 7, 8 en 8.1. Je kunt updaten vanuit het programma zelf of de nieuwe versie in zijn geheel downloaden.

Issues Fixed:
• Reverted the temporary change in v.2.1.6 that disabled checking for updates prior to scheduled scans
• Fixed SDK Database load errors for error code 2 and 1812
• Removed obsolete "Terminate program when no threats are found" setting since scans now run from the tray application
• Fixed several crashes that could occur during scan and quarantine operations
• Fixed crash that occurred when clicking the Clear Policies link on Access Policies screen
• Fixed issue where "Show notification after successful update" setting was not properly retained during upgrade from v.2.1.4 to v.2.1.6

Whats New
Urgent Release
• An urgent MBAM2 release (v2.1.8.1057) was made that resolves "a potential crash when scanning that had to do with how we were parsing digital signatures."
• The throttled upgrades have been reset. If your system was at v2.1.7.1055 Premium, it will auto-upgrade. If at v2.1.4.1018 Premium, your system will still be queued for the v2.1.8.1057 upgrade.
