Handbrake 0.9.9
Handbrake is een van de populairste gratis dvd rippers, die voor Windows, Mac OS X en Linux te krijgen is. Handbrake beschikt over vooraf ingestelde profielen voor onder andere iPad, iPhone, Android, PSP, Xbox en Apple TV, zodat je gelijk het juiste bestandsformaat hebt dat afgespeeld kan worden op je telefoon, tablet of spelconsole.
Handbrake 0.9.9 is na bijna een jaar ontwikkeling uitgebracht. Deze uitgave brengt een licht vernieuwde interface met nieuwe menu-iconen en ook een verbeterd programma-icoon (zie afbeelding boven).
Verder is ondersteuning voor ondertitels voor Blu-ray toegevoegd. Ook zijn diverse audio- en video-instellingen verbeterd en zijn verouderde presets voor conversie verwijderd.
Handbrake op Macs is nu geschikt voor Retina-schermen met hoge resolutie. De Windows-versie draait inmiddels ook op Windows 8. Verdere wijzigingen en verbeteringen kun je hieronder nalezen.
Handbrake is te verkrijgen voor Windows XP, Vista, 7 en 8, Mac OS X en Linux. Er is geen Nederlandse vertaling.
