Windows 7 wereldwijd nog grootste, Windows 10 meestgebruikt in Nederland (besturingssystemen oktober 2016)

Welke besturingssystemen hebben computergebruikers op hun pc staan? Statistiekboeren StatCounter en NetApplications houden dit wereldwijd en ook voor Nederland bij. De strijd gaat tussen oudgediende Windows 7 en nieuwkomer Windows 10
Windows 7 wereldwijd nog de grootste
Wereldwijd is Windows 7 de grootste met respectievelijk 39 (StatCounter) en 48% (NetApplications) marktaandeel. Windows 10 is runnerup met bijna 25 en 23%. Bij Statcounter volgt daarna macOS met bijna 11%, NetApplications geeft Apples besturingsysteem 6% en acht Windows 8.1 en - nota bene - XP groter met ruim 8%. Ook bij StatCounter heeft Windows 8.1 acht procent. XP heeft daar 5% en Windows 8 en Vista zijn marginaal met zo'n 1 tot 2% bij beide statistiekboeren.

Nederland: Windows 10 al meestgebruikt
In Nederland is de situatie iets anders: wij zijn allemaal al massaal overgestapt op het vorig jaar nog gratis Windows 10. 40% gebruikt hier Microsofts nieuwste besturingssysteem volgens StatCounter. Windows 7 is bij ons tweede met bijna 27% en macOS derde met maar liefst 15%! Veel Apple-liefhebbers in Nederland dus. Windows 8.1 heeft 8% en XP, Vista en 8 allemaal een procentje.
