Een half jaar na de vorige uitgave is Panda Cloud Antivirus Free Edition 1.5.2 verschenen. Deze update voor de snelle en lichte cloud-virusscanner is een onderhoudsupdate die diverse fouten oplost.

Zo is het on demand scannen onder Windows 7 sneller en zijn vertragingen bij het verwijderen van bestanden opgelost. Ook is een crash verholpen en verschijnt er niet meer elke twintig minuten een popup met een upgrade-melding.

Zo zijn moeilijkheden met het desinfecteren van Google Chrome cookies en gecomprimeerde malware verholpen. Ook werkt het opnieuw aanzetten van de autorun weer en is er geen blue screen of death (bsod) meer na het installeren of upgraden van Panda.

Panda Cloud Antivirus Free Edition 1.5 is verschenen. Deze uitgave van de snelle en lichte cloud-virusscanner kent de nodige veranderingen. Zo is er een nieuwe grafische installeerder en is de snelheid van de scans dramatisch verbeterd volgens Panda. Ook is het geheugen- en CPU-gebruik verminderd.

Verder zijn de geavanceerde opties zowaar wat uitgebreid en kunt u uitzonderingen instellen voor onder andere het scannen van bepaalde bestandsextensies of potentieel ongewilde programma's, zoals adware. Ten slotte zijn enkele fouten opgelost, waaronder problemen met het registreren van Panda bij het Windows Beveiligingscentrum.

Tijdens de installatie wordt ook aangeboden om de Panda Security Toolbar voor uw browser te installeren en Yahoo! als standaard zoekmachine in te stellen. Als u dat niet wilt moet u in het eerste scherm van de installatie op Opties klikken en in het volgende scherm de vinkjes weghalen.

• Fixed error when trying to open Panda Cloud Antivirus right after install.
• Fixed problems registering with Windows Security Center.
• Fixed access violation in PSUNSuspects.dll when opening console.
• Fixed protected Lost&Found directory privileges which prevented restoration of files.
• Fixed Error Code 11 when trying to undo an exclusion for a file which has been deleted from the drive.
• Fixed Error Code 11 when trying to insert into the Recycle Bin a file which was also excluded from the scan.
• Fixed error which prevented opening the GUI and showing the traybar icon.

Van Panda Cloud Antivirus Free Edition is versie 1.4 uitgebracht. Deze uitgave van de snelle en lichte cloud-virusscanner kent enkele kleine wijzigingen.

Zo is er een nieuw meldingssysteem en de optionele werkbalk, die kwaadaardige websites blokkeert, is nu ook geschikt gemaakt voor Internet Explorer 9 en Firefox 4. Als u deze browser-werkbalk die met Panda Cloud Antivirus wordt meegeleverd niet wilt, dan moet u tijdens de installatie de vinkjes weghalen bij deze component.

Verder zijn kleine foutjes in de interface en vertalingen opgelost. Panda Cloud Antivirus Free is te verkrijgen voor Windows XP, Vista en 7 en is vertaald in het Nederlands.

Panda Cloud Antivirus Free Edition 1.3 is verschenen. In deze versie van het van the cloud (internet) gebruikmakende anti-virus programma zijn de nodige veranderingen doorgevoerd. Dit is dan ook een grote update.

Zo worden kwaadaardige websites nu geblokkeerd, zodat malware en drive-by-downloads geen kans hebben. Deze functie wordt meegeïnstalleerd met de browser-werkbalk die met Panda Cloud Antivirus wordt meegeleverd. Als u deze werkbalk (die toch vooral commercieel interessant voor Panda is) niet wilt, dan moet u tijdens de installatie de vinkjes weghalen bij deze component.

Ook nieuw is dat virusmeldingen nu direct worden weergeven en dat er onder de statistieken een teller is voor het aantal gevonden verdachte bestanden. Ten slotte zijn diverse fouten opgelost, zoals enkele blue screens of death (bestaan ze nog?), het vertragen van het Start-menu in Windows 7 en het verdwijnen van het Panda icoon in de systeembalk.

The main new features and fixes included in Panda Cloud Antivirus 1.3 are the following:

• Malicious Web & URL Filtering. This feature blocks websites that push malware, exploits and drive-by downloads. It is available both in Free and in Pro Editions and is installed by the toolbar. Unlike similar solutions, this web filtering works at a low level so it works under all browsers: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc. For those of you that didn’t install the toolbar but would like to install the Web & URL Filtering, you can download it from here and install it manually.
• Unified Recycle Bin and Quarantine. Previously the Recycle Bin handled suspicious detections and the Quarantine handled deleted malware detections. This has been unified into a new Recycle Bin for ease of management. This is included in both Free and Pro Editions.
• Automatic and transparent upgrades to new product versions, previously only available in the Pro Edition, this is now available in the Free Edition as well. All users of Free Editions versions 1.1.0, 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 will automatically and transparently upgrade to the new 1.3. See notes below for the upgrade schedule.
• No more nagging advertising. After listening to many of you we have decided to turn off the nagging advertising popups prompting to upgrade to Pro Edition. If you want to support Panda Cloud Antivirus and wish to get the Pro Edition, you can do so from here, but we won’t bug you anymore from the popups.
• Hot updating of behavioural blocking rules. In order to increase protection on the fly against new vulnerabilities and attacks and to fix false positives, hot updating of behavioural blocking rules allows faster response time in both the Free and Pro Editions.
• Immediate notifications of virus detections. Previously if Panda Cloud Antivirus encountered multiple viruses, it would delay its traybar notification and show them grouped. This behaviour has been changed so that the notifications are shown immediately.
• Suspicious detection counter. Under the statistics window there’s some new counters for the different types of heuristics and behavioural detections.
• New versioning format. Unified versioning format in GUI and other parts of the program.

Panda Cloud Antivirus Free Edition 1.1.2 is te downloaden voor Windows XP, Vista en 7. Gebruikers van de gratis editie moeten het installatiebestand van Panda Cloud 1.1.2 downloaden en uitvoeren (waarbij automatisch de vorige versie wordt gede-installeerd) om te upgraden naar deze uitgave. Na installatie kunt u gewoon de gratis basisversie blijven gebruiken. De betaalde Pro-versie biedt wat meer opties, maar niet veel meer bescherming.

Panda Security heeft versie 1.0.1 van Panda Cloud Antivirus vrijgegeven. Deze uitgave lost met name veel foutjes op die nog in de eerste officiële release van Panda Cloud in november 2009 zaten.

De revolutionaire anti-virussoftware die draait met behulp van 'the cloud' heeft in deze versie twee hotfixes en enkele kleine verbeteringen gekregen volgens de producent. Zo is de detectie van malware in the cloud beter geworden en zijn wat vastlopers tijdens het scannen opgelost. Ook is het scannen van systeembestanden verbeterd.
