AVG Anti-Virus Free 9.0.839

AVG Anti-Virus Free met versienummer 9.0.839 is verschenen. In deze versie van de populaire gratis virusscanner is de 'polymorfische malware detectie' verbeterd, ofwel: virussen die steeds een andere verschijningsvorm aannemen - en daardoor moeilijk te onderscheppen zijn - worden beter opgespoord.

Ook is een aantal crashes en bevriezingen opgelost. Onder andere tijdens het update-proces. Verder zijn kleine wijzigingen aan de interface doorgevoerd en foutjes opgelost. AVG is te krijgen voor Windows 2000, XP, Vista en 7. Ook is er een Linux-versie.

U hoeft de AVG werkbalk voor Internet Explorer en Firefox niet te installeren als u AVG Anti-Virus Free op uw pc zet. Let dan goed op bij de installatie. Wel is overigens nu de optie toegevoegd om de werkbalk uit te schakelen in Internet Explorer.
