AVG Anti-Virus Free 9.0.790 is verschenen. In deze versie van de Tsjechische virusscanner zijn heel veel fouten en crashes opgelost,
waardoor de stabiliteit van AVG vergroot is. Ook is de snelheid van AVG vergroot en de detectie van bepaalde malware verbeterd.

Verder is Safe Search voor Firefox 3.6 toegevoegd. Firefox 2 wordt niet meer ondersteund. PC Tools Antivirus wordt tijdens de installatie herkend als conflicterende software.

Ten slotte wordt een nieuwe versie van de AVG werkbalk meegeleverd (die u trouwens niet hoeft te installeren). Updaten kan door de nieuwe AVG te downloaden, maar natuurlijk ook vanuit het programma zelf.
