Van het veelzijdige tekenprogramma Inkscape is versie 0.48.2 verschenen. Dit is een onderhoudsupdate die veel fouten en regressies oplost. Onder andere wordt nu bij het 'Opslaan als' de huidige bestandsnaam gegeven.

Ook veel vertalingen, waaronder de Nederlandse, zijn bijgewerkt. Alle opgeloste bugs in Inkscape 0.48.2 zijn voor geïnteresseerden hier na te lezen.

Inkscape is beschikbaar voor Windows, Mac OS X en Linux en is in het Nederlands vertaald. De installatie van Inkscape onder Windows duurt lang (soms meer dan tien minuten).

Voor niet-professionele gebruikers heeft Inkscape in ieder geval meer dan genoeg mogelijkheden. Behalve tekenen (en logo's en iconen ontwerpen) kunt u met Inkscape ook PDF-bestanden bewerken.

In Inkscape 0.48 zijn heel veel wijzigingen en verbeteringen doorgevoerd. De belangrijkste zijn een verbeterd tekst-werktuig (waarmee nu onder andere ook met subscript en superscript gewerkt kan worden), een nieuwe Airbrush tool, een extensie om presentaties te maken en LaTeX ondersteuning voor PDF/PS/EPS.

Inkscape is beschikbaar voor Windows, Mac OS X en Linux en is in het Nederlands vertaald. Volgens de ontwikkelaars is de Windows-versie aanmerkelijk verbeterd en zal die veel minder vaak crashen dan voorheen. De Windows-variant zou nu min of meer op het niveau van de Linux-versie zijn (waarvoor Inkscape origineel werd gemaakt). De installatie van Inkscape onder Windows duurt wel lang (soms meer dan tien minuten).
