ZoneAlarm free antivirus + firewall heeft in juli 2012 de beste punten gescoord bij AV-test.org. Kwam als beste uit van alle gratis software.

In de maand juli zijn er weer 25 antivirus scanners voor Windows 7 getest door AV-Test.org. Alle antivirus scanners verrasten de testers dit keer met het resultaat. Daarom verdienden alle 25 programma's het AV-Test certificaat; een uitzonderlijke prestatie.

Het antivirus programma BitDefender Internet Security 2012 kwam alweer als beste uit de test. F-Secure Internet Security 2012 samen met Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 op een gedeelde tweede plaats. Check Point: ZoneAlarm Free Antivirus + Firewall 10.2 op de derde plaats.

AhnLab V3 Internet Security 8.0 en McAfee Total Protection 2012 scoorden het slechtst met beide 11 punten.

Van de gratis antivirus scanners, scoorde Check Point: ZoneAlarm Free Antivirus + Firewall 10.2 het beste.

Alle antivirus scanners werden getest op de aspecten 'bescherming', 'verwijderen van malware' en 'gebruik'.
