VLC media player 2.0.5
VLC media player is het populairste alternatief voor Windows Mediaspeler. En het voordeel van VLC is dat de applicatie bijna alle audio- en video-bestanden kan afspelen. Je hebt dus maar een mediaspeler nodig voor al je muziek en films - in welk formaat dan ook.
VLC media player 2.0.5 is dit weekend verschenen. Deze uitgave is een kleine update voor de veelzijdige mediaspeler die zo'n honderd kleine fouten en regressies oplost. Zo zijn enkele crashes bij het afspelen van MKV en SWF (Flash) bestanden verholpen. Ook is een verkeerde beeldverhouding voor sommige video's opgelost.
Verder zijn problemen met onder meer: DVB-S (digitale televisie), streamen over beveiligde HTTPS:-verbindingen, PulseAudio, encoderen van Mpeg-2 audio en video, ingebedde lettertypen voor ondertiteling en de slaapstand in Mac OS X gerepareerd. Ten slotte zijn enkele vertalingen, waaronder de Nederlandse, bijgewerkt.
VLC 2.0.5 is in het Nederlands te downloaden voor Windows XP, Vista, 7 en 8, Mac OS X en Linux.
