VLC media player 1.1.5
VLC media player 1.1.5 is uitgebracht. In deze versie van de snelle mediaspeler die bijna alles afspeelt, is een beveiligingslek opgelost dat betrekking heeft op gedeelde bestanden op netwerken. Alleen de Windows-versie van VLC is vatbaar voor dit lek.
Ook maakt deze uitgave van VLC gebruik van Channels.com om videofilmpjes van diverse omroepen en sites op het web te vinden. U kunt filmpjes streamen via Weergave | Afspeellijst in het VLC. Vervolgens kunt u onder Mediabrowser | Internet uitgebreide collecties van onder andere Channels.com doorzoeken.
Live Webm streams (de video-codec van Google) kunnen afgespeeld worden in VLC 1.1.5 en de GME-plugin (Game Music Emu) voor muziek in spelletjes is herschreven. Verder worden enkele fouten opgelost en decoders verbeterd. Ten slotte zijn veel vertalingen, waaronder de Nederlandse, bijgewerkt. VLC is in het Nederlands te downloaden voor Windows, Mac OS X en Linux. Lees hieronder de complete lijst met veranderingen.
