Avidemux is videobewerkingssoftware om avi, mpeg (DVD), asf en mp4 (iPod) filmpjes mee te bewerken, filteren en om te zetten naar een ander videoformaat. In versie 2.5.3 van Avidemux is de ondersteuning voor bepaalde video-formaten, zoals H.263, uitgebreid. Ook is een fout in de mpeg2enc video encoder onder Windows opgelost. FFmpeg is geüpdate en ondersteuning voor I420 toegevoegd.

Versie 2.6 van Avidemux is momenteel in ontwikkeling. Onbekend is wanneer deze verschijnt.

On other news, the 2.6 version is progressing nicely. It is at the moment mainly tested as a way to convert DVB capture (SD and HD) to mkv, with no additionnal tool needed and with a correct a/v sync. For HD stream, you will want a VDPAU capable card.
