Google Chrome is alweer aanbeland bij versie 10. Een redelijk grote update deze keer met de volgende highlights:
- JavaScript op webpagina's wordt 66% sneller verwerkt
- Google Chrome heeft een nieuwe, overzichtelijkere instellingen-pagina die opent als tabblad
- Verbeterde beveiliging met het rapporteren van malware en uitschakelen van onveilige plugins
- De geïntegreerde Flash-plugin is beveiligd met sandbox onder Windows Vista en 7 (XP niet)
- Synchroniseren van wachtwoorden is standaard aangezet
- Google Chrome heeft hardware-versnelling met behulp van GPU
Google Chrome is dus veel sneller, veiliger en overzichtelijker volgens de makers. Ten slotte worden vijfentwintig lekken dichtgeplakt in deze versie van Googles browser. Vijftien van deze kwetsbaarheden zijn ernstig.
Google Chrome 10.0 is gratis te downloaden voor Windows, Mac OS X en Linux. Google Chrome update automatisch op de achtergrond als u de browser opstart. Daar hoeft u niks voor te doen.
