Google Chrome is de browser van Google die in 2008 geïntroduceerd is. Chrome behoort inmiddels met Internet Explorer en Firefox tot de top drie van meestgebruikte browsers.
Google Chrome 26 is vandaag uitgebracht. De upgrade van het versienummer van 25 naar 26 brengt niet heel veel spectaculaire vernieuwingen. Voornaamste is de betere spellingcontrole die Chrome nu heeft.
Verder is het mogelijk om snelkoppelingen voor meerdere Chrome-profielen (gebruikers) op je bureaublad te plaatsen onder Windows. Ten slotte zijn dertien beveiligingslekken dichtgeplakt in deze uitgave van Googles browser. Twee daarvan worden als kritiek betiteld.
Google Chrome is gratis te downloaden voor Windows, Mac OS X en Linux. De browser wordt automatisch geüpdated, daar hoef je zelf niks voor te doen. Er zijn ook versies van Chrome voor iOS en Android.
